ImageInspired by his father Emo Michelini, Dino pursued his passion to develop skills in Viticulture. He studied, and continues to study, various courses gaining all the knowledge he can to produce the best fruit at the vineyard.

Dino's own dedication and commitment helped plant the vineyard in 1982. It was his father that said, "…one day we will go on to have our own Winery and our own Cellar Door". That ambition didn't just stop at his fathers words. Dino went on to put his love, passion and joy into what is now today, the Michelini Vineyard, Winery and Cellar Door. According to Dino, the Italian Cellar Door represents the heritage of the Michelini family along with the multicultural nature of Myrtleford.

ImageDino's passion and joy is looking after the vines and achieving maximum quality from them. He loves watching them from the early stages of budburst right through to the end product.

Dino has travelled to Italy numerous times to vist his Uncle's Vineyard. To him it is important that the tradition and quality flows through to the end product.

Today Dino spends most of his time in the vineyard consistantly learning and adapting to the vineyard's micro-environment. He is constantly alert to ensure he gains only the best from the Michelini vines. Dino says, "…there is hard work to be done with different styles of cool climate grapes."

For Michelini Wines, Dino hopes to continue growing and producing their high quality premium Alpine region wines. Of himself Dino "... wants to continue on with the quality produced by the 'Michelini' label", as this has been his emphasis throughout his whole working life. Dino would also like to see premium Michelini Wines exported throughout the world for all to share, savour and enjoy!
