Our Wine Club was named after 'Mr Emo Michelini' the founding father of Michelini Wine's.
Emo was born in Rovereto, Northern Italy on September 13th, 1924. He migrated to Sydney when he was only 25 years old with his young wife Olga.
Two years later, Emo journeyed south to meet his uncle in Myrtleford and began tobacco farming.
Eventually he was able to plant his first grapes in the Buckland valley in 1982.
In 1997 he finally built his dream of a beautiful Italian Style Cellar door on the great Alpine Road in the township of Myrtleford.
